General Chat / Re: 100 Questions
« on: July 31, 2014, 12:31:02 AM »
-_- Ashrieda wouldn't answer the questions to the one I linked in the original post at all. I've actually stumbled upon one that's a little more...I dunno, maybe the quality of the questions are a little more relevant her interests. They're a lot easier to answer using clues from the story, at least.

General Chat / Re: Breakfast, lunch or dinner?
« on: June 16, 2014, 07:20:41 PM »
Now see, I love food, I love eating, and I have this bad habit of eating when I'm bored. I am eating now, in fact.  ;D Unfortunately, I have IBS and a tad bit of gluten sensitivity, so eating has recently become a bit of an adventure.

Although I too wasn't much of a breakfast eater until recently. Even now, I don't like anything too heavy. I love most breakfast food, but yeah, brunch is awesome Dinner (or supper) is probably my favorite though. I like the social aspect of it. Normally lunch would have been, but for the fact that when I'm at work mine occurs at the weirdest hour (4:00 pm!)

Most exotic game I've played? Probably Parcheesi; it was my absolute favorite when I was in school. I couldn't begin to tell you how to play now though. Board games are kind of banned in my family, mostly because they're a bunch of cheats.

Poop Deck / Re: What makes the pirates evil?

Ashrieda is a mess. She's definitely not evil, but definitely not good either. If this were D&D she'd probably be 'chaotic neutral'. Like just about everyone else, she's an opportunist; she just does whatever feels right at the time, and what ensures her survival. Probably has something to do with not having a stable home ever and then having to grow up practically overnight. And yet, I think if she weren't a pirate she'd be a missionary.

General Chat / Re: Books?

I used to hate them too. Don't get me started on downloading ebooks from the library. Personally, though, I don't mind e-readers so much, but for the fact that staring at a screen too long gives me migraines.

Right now I'm on a non-fiction kick. I'm currently reading The Borgias: The Hidden History by G. J. Meyer. I have no idea why I picked it up in the first place, but turns out that it's pretty awesome. Makes me want to research the Borgias on my own now  :) The other book I'm working on is Wheat Belly by William Davis, because I'm not getting along with my bowel anymore and I think cutting the gluten is doing the trick.

I actually really like Eastward Ho. Because I'm mature like that  ;)

Yeah, would definitely say that Steamhawke is more of a webserial that happens to be written collaboratively than it is an RPG. But that's totally off topic, so going away now.

Why not promote Jefferson? He seems to have been able to control the crewmembers very well in story.

General Chat / Re: How's the winter?
« on: February 19, 2014, 06:28:07 PM »
Yep, it's been dangerously cold here. It's been the coldest I can remember in pretty much ever. But it's been pretty and cold, at least in my neck of the woods, which makes it much more tolerable.(we've actually dodged quite a bullet precipitation wise, knock on wood).

We did have two snow days last week (Tuesday and Wednesday), with high temperatures of around 30 F (-1 C). The second day was mostly a safety precaution.

This week, the temperature is pushing 70 F (21 C), which where I live, temperature...changes (can't think of the word I'm looking for) like this are normal. Unfortunately, warmer weather also means tornado season is coming, which is a whole different kettle of worms.

Think male would work best, although it might be kind of interesting to see a battle-axe of a woman take on the job as well.

In theory, I would think that people ought to know that a story about pirates is going to be violent, etc.

In practice, however...in the RP world, better safe than sorry, I'd say.

Poop Deck / Re: Communication
« on: February 12, 2014, 06:54:22 PM »
Strictly on a plotting related basis, I thought we were supposed to be using this forum for communicating. Based on the forum discussions, I assumed that chapter 9 was about to wrap. I assumed that everyone was on board (no pun intended) with the train. But now it seems that neither is the case and now I'm confused.

Help, Questions, Feedback / Re: Are you intimidated by the story leaders?
« on: February 12, 2014, 06:27:26 PM »
To answer the question that was originally posed, no, I am not intimidated at all. I can't speak from everyone, naturally, but I think that I can go to Five or Dae with any idea that I have for the story. If they like it, excellent. If they feel that it won't work with the rest of the story then that's okay too, because (and this is where I respectfully disagree with Mar) in a collaborative writing project, yes everyone is allowed to have imput, but at the same time someone does have to act as overseer and editor, otherwise you get a clusterfuck.

About all the other stuff  --  of which I am aware of,  which is actually very little, my opinions have been posted in the other threads on this forum, so I won't repeat them here.
